Still need lines from two people; why don't I recast, you ask?

But, in the meantime, I'm doing a different Flash, Base 17 related. It's almost done, actually, and a minute and a half long. Luuuulz, fail, I know. I'll probably submit it soon after finishing. It won't win any awards or anything since it's anime, and everyone knows NGers hate anime. Well. 90% of them. OH WELL RITE. AT LEAST I HAD FUN DOING IT (until the end anyway).

Some stuff might not make sense, since well, it hasn't happened yet. But. Hm.

Off to do some stuff on it. Sure as hell don't feel like it.

I haven't said that in awhile. 'Oh snap.' Crackle and pop.

ANYWAY.

Done with all animation for Base 17 Ch.3. I'm happy. All that's left are like six backgrounds, shading, music/sound effects, lipsync/voice actor lines, camera work, and credits. It's not as much as it seems, really, since music and sound effects is a pretty painless process. So are camera work and credits. Only the backgrounds and lipsync will take any real time.

I don't know what to do next, though. While I'll certainly work on Ch.4, I want to do a different animation. Oh, wait, I'm in a collab. Ha. Maybe I'll go collab hunting! Join a bunch of 'em and stuff! Yeah! I WILL. Originally I wanted to create a short movie, but eh. No ideas.

I have the next three weeks off; if I can finish in that time, I'll be shocked.

I'm...embarrassed. I'm truly embarrassed right now. I randomly thought 'Hey, let me watch the first two episodes of Base 17 to regain some inspiration!'

Bad idea.

The first movie I could lightly cringe my way through, but the second...I couldn't even get past Prodigy and Cybil's first meeting. It...it just...sucked. The art sucked, the story sucked, the script sucked. The only redeeming factors were the voice actors and the music. Well, what music I was able to listen to up until that point.

Even the menu gave me chills.

I'd remove them right now if people didn't need to see them in order to understand some of the story. I...don't want anyone else to see them; especially not people I know in real life. Wow. I haven't felt this bad in awhile.

On the bright side, it DID give me some motivation. I went back and redrew a few frames that I was going to leave as is xD I barely want Chapter 3 to be even seen as the same series. Upgraded animation, story, script, and a small upgrade to background art. I still suck at backgrounds >_>

Still, though, I'm excited! I want to get it out there to show people that I am, indeed, somewhat skilled. Based on the movies I have now, I'm like a total n00b. Agghh.

Long time since I last updated! In that time, I've still been stuck on Scene 1. Granted, it's mostly timed appropriately/animated, but there's a few things still left to do. Things like backgrounds and shading. Meh D:< I hate those parts.

So, I started Scene 2. I realized I sucked at perspective, and am now on a mission to work on that when I have the time.

...not very far into the scene, but I've drawn a few characters here and there. It's not as long as scene 1, but the sheer amount of PEOPLE in it! Ughhh, why'd I go this route?! xD On the bright side, it's great for practice in drawing.

I'm setting a par time of one month for both scenes 1 and 2 (not counting any sound whatsoever), and a par time of one month for scene 3 (no sounds). Three months total for everything -- December yay :D So behind.

GETTING A NEW COMPUTER :DDD WHICH MEANS I DON'T HAVE TO SHARE THIS ONE ANYMORE. AND IT'LL BE FASTER, AND I CAN WORK WHENEVER I FREAKING FEEL LIKE IT!

*random dance sequence*

Work on Chapter 3 has been going good, I think. There's more fbf than the first two chapters combined (lulz) So it's taking a bit longer than usual. Granted, I just REALLY started animating it around mid-July, so. I scrapped two previous versions because of problems with the drawing style; It's almost freaky how quickly I improved. Don't know if I'll add that into the extra scenes thing, but...Eh. I'm really excited to get this part out of the way, since it pretty much gets the whole story moving.

Currently working on Scene 1 (lawl, I know).

Scene 2 is looking to be like a lot of drawing, unfortunately, but I can take a bunch of shortcuts with Scene 3. Not HUGE ones, but it'll cut down the animating time by a week, at least.

I won't send out any scripts until it's mostly done, as I've been known to perform drastic rewrites at the last minute. Mhm.

Bah, this textbox is way too slow for me to finish the entry. Just remember to look out for Base 17 sometime this year (Pfft.)

I've been browsin' the new site for a good half hour now, and I have to say, it looks loads better than it did before. And, there's even a city in the background of this textbox. Wow. My only complaint is that at the moment, it seems to be running pretty damn slow. I'm typing way too fast for the cursor to keep up, haha.

The real reason for this post is to tell you all that Base 17 Chapter 3 is being worked on as we speak. I have less time to work on it, but, the character animation and backgrounds are tons better than it was before. Even my fbf has gotten better, so the next action scene shouldn't make you cringe. Too much, anyway.

I'm planning on adding a better menu for Chapter 3, and, an Extras section. There are a couple of Base 17 related (Well, I used the characters) animations that I think are pretty amusing. I also want to add movie control buttons. No idea how, so if you have a good tutorial or something, please drop me a PM. I checked Google (For about two minutes, lawl) but they only worked for Quicktime movies.

Damn, this thing is slow.
